The Movie Machine is part game, part experience meant to remove the tedium of selecting a movie to watch. With a seemingly infinite répretoire of cinematic knowledge, Jack Cuellar is The Movie Machine.
The world’s first* “human-powered algorithm” has been tailored to create joy during the movie selection process. Blending games, chance and personal preference into the computing process, the movie machine is a delightful and downright fun experience.

So, how does this whole thing work, anyways?
The Movie Machine holds private screenings for discerning audiences, and public gatherings on a larger scale. In both instances, the rules are similar but never repeated.
Step 1
Players or teams roll for initiative to determine the order of play. D-20 die will be provided for inexperienced movie machine attendees.
Step 2
The number of people in the audience determines the games and activities. Movie categories paired with ranked choice and other games such as the crowd favorite
“F*ck, Movie, Kill” all affect the final movie selection.
Step 3
When the final movie selections are clear, a final vote is cast for either the movies that have made their way through the ranking or the ever-present Jack’s Choice, a pre-selected, unknown film for all to enjoy.
